The EuroAmerican
Festival is an international festival for NewMusic. Its mission is to create a new avenue to promote music recently
written by composers in the late Twentieth Century and the New Millenium. It aims to present works written in
all different mediums: solo, chamber music, orchestra, electro-acoustic and accousmatic. The EUROAMERICAN Festival creates
a new space for the dissemination of NewMusic written by composers from North, Central and South-America and Europe. By presenting
works written in these diverse geographic points, the Festival intends to create the opportunity of cultural exchange of ideas,
styles and currents between the composers and the audience. This Festival is a mirror initiative to The FLAMINGO
International NewMusic Festival celebrated in its first edition in Miami, USA 2010. In its first edition the Festival will
present works by composers from the USA, Europe and SouthAmerica. Performances include a concert for solo and chamber music
works to be performed by the Omorfia Ensemble. Omorfia is an ensemble of variable geometry dedicated to the performance of
NewMusic. A second concert will include works for chamber orchestra. This concert will be performed by the EUROAMERICAN Chamber
Orchestra, orchestra created for the Festival which will be conducted by its artistic director Sylvia Constantinidis and by
Associate Conductor Christian wenzel.
